Oh my goodness, Rosevelvet is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Palma! The atmosphere and decor are simply charming. As soon as I walked inside, it felt like a cozy little bakery/cafe that’s perfect for taking your time to enjoy breakfast or lunch without feeling rushed. The staff were so friendly and attentive – always checking on me to make sure everything was okay.
The food itself was incredible! They have a big selection of pastries and cakes, but I got eggs benedict with avocado instead and it did not disappoint. Perfectly poached eggs swam happily under creamy hollandaise sauce topped off with fresh avocados resting on top of their signature brioche bread.

The Bollo di Canela (Cinnamon Bun) was out-of-this-world delicious – definitely a must-try! My taste buds were tingling with every bite I took. But that’s not all; their cappuccino was by far the BEST I have ever had! And I’ve tried my fair share of coffee places around town.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of visiting a Gluten-Free Bakery in Mallorca?
So you’re on a gluten-free diet and you happen to find yourself in Mallorca. Fear not, because this quaint island has some of the “best” gluten-free bakeries around! Don’t get too excited though, as with every good thing comes a downside.
On the bright side, these bakeries make it easier for those who suffer from celiac disease or choose to avoid gluten in their diet, to indulge in sweet treats without compromising their health. Not only do these bakeries offer cakes and cookies but also bread options that are off-limits in regular boulangeries.
However, doughn’t let your taste buds run wild just yet because truth be told, these gluten-free treats may often leave something to be desired when compared to traditional baked goods. Gluten is what helps give items like croissants that flaky texture which can be hard for any wheat-less pastry to top despite being made with high-quality ingredients.
Another disadvantage worth mentioning is cost – customers have reported higher prices at many of these speciality bakeries due to specialized ingredients needed for baking sans gluten.
Overall there’s no denying: finding amazing-tasting GF pastries whilst strolling through charming winding streets does sound pretty blissful. But approach with caution and set expectations accordingly- remember: Deliciousness rarely comes cheap…or without its own unique “glitches”.
PROS
- Wide variety of delicious gluten-free baked goods
- High-quality organic and locally-sourced ingredients
- Unique takes on traditional Mallorcan baking techniques
CONS
- Limited seating space
- Higher prices compared to regular bakeries
- Some products may sell out quickly
Conclusion
Our caffeine-infused search for the best gluten-free bakeries in Mallorca is now complete (*insert applause here*). And let us tell you, it wasn’t easy. There were so many sweet spots to explore but we persevered in the name of pastry!
So what did we find out? Well first and foremost – thank heavens for these incredible bakers! Their delicious treats tasted as though they had been baked especially for royalty (which is just how all gluten-free fare should be really). And boy, oh boy do these patisseries have a knack for making even the most traditional recipes taste like brand stinkin’ new ones!
Listen guys and gals, if indulging in an array of delicious cookies, cakes and bread whilst not feeling bloated or guilt-tripped are your cup of tea (speaking of which – their teas aren’t too shabby either) then please run (!) to any one of these heavenly bakeries pronto. Not only will your tummy feel satisfied but you’ll also be supporting local businesses which will make you feel like a real adult who’s got this “life” thing figured out (kinda).
Before we go though I must insist on one thing: if you end up visiting any of our recommended bakeries DO remember to share those scrumptious snaps and tasty tales with us via social media AND give our article another read over at [website] – because brunch reads are totally still “a thing”.
